    Ponce Automations

Ponce Automations is the developer of a monitoring device which can be used to monitor the status of irrigation systems with the use of a smartphone.

Ponce Automation's product utilizes IoT (internet of things) technology to monitor irrigation systems remotely. The company's product is compatible with any pre-existing irrigation system which makes it easy to install. After installation, the user is able to monitor the condition of their irrigation systems from a phone or computer. Due to the limitations of cellular connection in most parts of Latin America, the system utilizes satellites so that growers are able to monitor their fields from anywhere regardless of the strength of cellular connection.

Ponce's irrigation monitoring system has several capabilities. The system monitors several different aspects of the irrigation system including water pressure, water flow, and rain records. These metrics allow farmers to make appropriate decisions in order to adequately water their crops. Ponce's system is also able to remotely notify the user if there are issues with the functionality of the irrigation system. This feature eliminates the need for the user to constantly check the status of irrigation equipment. In addition to this, the system is also able to detect irrigation system failure. This feature is immensely useful because it prevents crop damage and water waste which increases over time if such failures go unnoticed.
