ASAP Accelerator Partnership Program

About Us

Who are We?
ASAP is an ecosystem-system building exercise that seeks to identify and support SMEs that offer the technologies, products, and services, which can enhance the resilience and adaptation of their users and customers in response to a changing climate across Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean. We are a grant-funded initiative led by The Lightsmith Group and supported by the Global Environment Facility (with Conservation International as the project’s implementation agency), the Inter-American Development Bank, and IDB Labs.

About the Program

From April 2022 - September 2022, The Lightsmith Group working with Village Capital is implementing a program to accelerate 19 SMEs an startups based in Africa, Asia, and Latin America which are scaling market-based and contextualized solutions to critical climate adaptation and resilience challenges.

Companies were selected as a part of a competitive process and are being provided with a variety of resources, mentorship and technical assistance to address business challenges. Programs included an Accelerator week of peer-feedback sessions, stakeholder mentorship, sessions on the ASAP Climate Adaptation Taxonomy and impact assessment. The week culminated with an investor forum where participants pitched their company to interested investors and stakeholders in order to receive feedback and make connections.

From July to September, the companies will receive technical assistance aligned with challenges co-identified during the Accelerator week. ASAP is looking to engage with qualified experts and consultants to deliver on the below Scopes of Work. Please submit proposals by July 6 at 11:59PM EDT following the instructions included in the Scope of Work.
