Bieera Energy was created at Kisii University to deploy off-the-shelf micro-hydro power plants, leveraging megawatts of untapped, clean, carbon-free energy in order to bring electricity to western Kenya.

The company seeks to electrify western Kenya with electricity generated from running water. Its key mandate is to provide sufficient and reliable electricity generation to meet demand and reach rural communities with power.
