Aguagente is a company attempting to combat the excess use of bottled water in Mexico by offering unlimited purified water as a service. Consumers pay $349 MX a month to receive advanced water purification systems that are setup by the company. The monthly fee covers annual service calls and a filter change. The water purification systems are IoT connected and are able to be installed under kitchen sinks. Aguagente also boasts advanced IT, a customer app, and an exclusive referral program. Their vision is to slow the need for production of bottled water and eventually provide one million people in Mexico with unlimited purified water. They also pledged to donate 0.7% of their income to Official Development Assistance.
